Introducing Driftscape

We have some really exciting news to share with you: as of today, you can download Driftscape for iOS for free and immediately start to explore over 700 places, events and tours in Toronto!

Whether you’re just visiting Toronto, or you’re already a local expert — I know that you’ll discover something new on Driftscape. We have a list of 19 partners sharing content on Driftscape so far, and that list is constantly growing. Driftscape enables you to explore the city’s site-specific arts, culture and history all in one place. You can select what you’re interested in from categories like Literature, History, Urbanism and more, as well as choose to see content from specific organizations you’re excited about. You can learn about Toronto’s indigenous history from First Story, hear it’s music from Track Toronto, watch video stories of the city’s LGBTQ past from Queerstory or discover curiosities from NOW Magazine, Spacing and more.

Even better, when there’s something interesting nearby, Driftscape will notify you. Once you’ve chosen what you’d like to see, you will get an alert when you’re near something that fits that criteria. Driftscape will help you to seamlessly discover what’s around you at the time and place where it’s most relevant and interesting.

Driftscape has been years in the making, and we’re just getting started. We’re always looking for additional content partners, and new locations to launch the platform. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with ideas through twitteror facebook or e-mail us at hi@driftscape.com.
